ATELIER WEST STUDIOS in Deer Lake, Nfld. is a private printshop run by professional printmaker Audrey Feltham. The studio offers private, one-on-one instruction in relief, collograph, intaglio, and waterless
(silicone) lithography as well as monotype printing. The cost of personalized instruction is $450.00 for a five day week, beginning at 9:00 each morning and ending at 5:00 in the evening. Workshop participants
will have inks and grounds supplied, but printing paper and matrixes must be supplied by the participant. Interested workshop participants should contact Audrey Feltham at 635-3604 to discuss what their expectations are for the week-long workshop, and what area of printmaking they are interested in. Although Ms. Feltham is able to take students who have had no previous printmaking experience, they should
realize that one week of instruction will give them very limited knowledge of the medium.
Atelier West studios is equipped with facilities to accommodate copper plate etching with the Edinburg etch. The studio has a professional quality Praga press, as well as a printer's hotplate and professional inks
and professional brayers. Adequate ventiliation has been installed but printmakers are advised to also supply themselves with a professional ventilator mask.
